Starting in the summer of 2016, Westside Royal started as a pop-rock collaboration between Michael Schley and McQuiston Bowes. Naming the band after a local liquor store, “Westside Royal” the band came to be.
Later brining in Mason Nagy on bass and Elliott Holt on drums, material came into fruition. The focus was bringing the hard hitting pop music into the studio and have it translated & executed properly. With the help from engineer and producer Jonathan Gering, Westside was able to bring out the best sound for the band.
Westside’s debut EP "So Wrong, So Well" was released Winter 2016 with great reception. Following a string of festival dates and local shows spring to winter. In 2020 Westside Royal released their newest music "II" with engineer Paul Malinowski and with bass player Dustin Gamble being added to the roster.
